Handford Hall Leadership Team is looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic teaching assistant with the ability to support pupils across the curriculum. You should enjoy the challenges and rewards of working with teaching staff to support pupils, individually or in small groups.

Grace Cook Primary School and Nursery, Stowmarket, are looking for a SENDCo & Class Teacher

Grace Cook Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and experienced SENDCo and Class Teacher to join our warm, passionate and forward-thinking team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a thriving school within Orwell Multi Academy Trust (OMAT)—a collaborative and supportive trust dedicated to excellence in education.

The Role

SENDCo (2 days per week)

As our SENDCo, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering high-quality provision for pupils with SEND. You will work strategically and operationally to ensure every child receives the tailored support they need to flourish.

You will:

  • Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice
  • Identify and assess pupils with additional needs and coordinate effective interventions
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and families
  • Liaise with external specialists and agencies
  • Maintain accurate SEND records, including EHCPs and provision maps
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision
  • Be a qualified teacher holding NASENCO or NPQ for SEN (or be working towards it)

  • A reflective, caring and knowledgeable practitioner
  • An effective communicator and confident leader
  • Committed to improving outcomes for pupils with SEND
 

Class Teacher (3 days per week)

We are seeking an inspiring class teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning across three days each week. You will bring creativity, commitment and high expectations for all pupils.

You will:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner
  • Put pupils first in everything you do
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning that secures strong outcomes
  • Have high expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement
  • Bring energy, positivity, resilience and innovation
  • Contribute to the continued development and success of our school
