Grace Cook Primary School & Nursery is a new single form entry school, opened in September 2022 to serve the Northview housing development in the Chilton Leys area of Stowmarket.  It has rapidly become a thriving school with high expectations, strong community links and a dedicated team of staff that ensure pupils are realising their full potential as successful learners.

Grace Cook Primary School and Nursery is looking for a Nursery Administrative Assistant to work alongside our School Office Manager. This is a permanent post commencing June 2025.  

 

Grace Cook Primary School and Nursery in Stowmarket opened its doors in September 2022 and received a Good with Outstanding Ofsted Report in February 2025. The school currently has children in Nursery, Reception and Years 1-4. From September 2025 the school will continue to expand with children entering Year 5

 

We are seeking an efficient, enthusiastic, and highly organised individual to join our friendly and dedicated team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our nursery, providing essential administrative support alongside our School Office Manager.

 

As a key member of our office team, you will:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and external agencies, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Handle enquiries and correspondence efficiently, both in person and via phone or email.
  • Maintain and manage the school's information systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to support the daily operations of the nursery.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Can work collaboratively as part of a team while also managing individual responsibilities.
  • Is highly organised, able to prioritise tasks effectively, and works well under pressure.
  • Has strong ICT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in an administrative role is desirable, but training and support will be provided.
