Grange Community Primary School, Felixstowe, are looking for a Teaching Assistant

  • Salary: Grade 2 Point 3 - £24,796 (1FTE)

  • Job term: 30.5 hours per week. 38 weeks per year.

  • Contract – Fixed Term until 31st August 2027

Are you an enthusiastic and committed Early Years teacher looking to make a real difference at the start of a child's educational journey?

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated KS1/2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and inspiring children in Key Stage 1or 2, helping them to develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. 

Key Responsibilities: 

· Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and creative learning activities in line with the National curriculum. 

· Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. 

· Provide support for pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development both in and out of the classroom. 

· Assist with observations, assessments, and record-keeping to monitor children’s progress and attainment. 

· Promote independence, resilience, and confidence through high-quality learning experiences. 

· Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to meet each child’s individual needs. 

· Uphold the school’s values, behaviour expectations, and safeguarding policies at all times. 

 

About You: 

· A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development in Key Stage 1or 2. 

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

· A positive team player with the ability to take initiative and adapt when needed. 

· A patient, kind, and flexible approach to working with children. 

· A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable. 

· Experience working within a primary school or KS1 setting is advantageous but not essential.
