We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive Early Years team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in nurturing and inspiring children aged 4–5, helping them develop a lifelong love of learning.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, creative activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Assist with observations, assessments, and record-keeping to monitor children’s progress and development.
  • Promote independence, curiosity, and confidence through high-quality play-based learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to meet each child’s individual needs.
  • Uphold the school’s values, behaviour expectations, and safeguarding policies at all times.

 

About You

  • A genuine passion for early years education and supporting young children’s growth and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive team player with the ability to take initiative and adapt when needed.
  • Patient, kind, and flexible approach to working with children.
  • A relevant childcare qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education/Childcare) is desirable.
  • Experience working in an EYFS setting is advantageous but not essential.
