About the role

 This is a rare and exciting opportunity, for an enthusiastic and passionate SENCO, to join our wonderful child focussed community school. You will be expected to undertake the professional duties and responsibilities of a SENCO. Under the direction of the Headteacher, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability and the associated processes. You would also be a member of the Senior Leadership Team

 

 About you

 · You will have a qualified teacher status and at least 2- 5 years’ experience working as a SENCO.

 · Possess or working towards the NASENCO or equivalent qualification.

· Experience of completing EHCP applications and paperwork

 · You will have the ability to communicate clearly with pupils, parents, staff and Governors.

· Ability to create an enabling learning environment for pupils

· Active listening skills

 · Understanding, sensitivity and empathy with pupils and parents

 · Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

· Ability to be flexible
