Halifax Primary is a friendly, inclusive school. We believe that relationships are important, and encourage attitudes of respect, support and care. We also believe in the importance of learning, and want all of our pupils to do the very best that they can.  We set high standards in everything we do, and place a lot of emphasis on the core skills of reading, writing and maths. By the end of Key Stage 2 (Year 6) our pupils’ attainment is in line with that of pupils nationally. The progress they have made from KS1 (Year 2) is better than that made by pupils nationally!

We aim to provide a fun and exciting place in which to learn. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, enhanced by a wide range of trips, visits and additional activities. Every child has the opportunity to learn a musical instrument, and we aim for every child to spend at least one night away from home on a school residential.

We are proud of the support that we offer all of our children and the excellent relationships that we have with parents and carers.
