Orwell MAT Trust Finance Lead and HR Administrator


Required for April 2021 or earlier if available


Salary: £25,991 - £29,577 FTE, (Grade 5  Pt 16-20)   

Location: Based in Ipswich, Suffolk but travel to schools within the Trust will be required

Contract type: 37 hours per week, 42 weeks per year                  

Contract term: 2 year fixed term with the possibility of becoming permanent subject to Trust growth and funding.

Due to upcoming growth and expansion within the Trust, Orwell Multi Academy Trust has an exciting opportunity within their central finance team for a Trust Finance Lead and HR Administrator.


This role is based within the Shared Services Team at Trust Headquarters, which supports all the Trust schools with their business and finance functions. The Shared Services Team is a small team of 6 currently but is expanding due to school expansion and the opening of a brand new school in Stowmarket from September 2022.


Within this role you will be supporting Trust schools with all areas of financial management and HR administration. This will include budget setting, management accounts and financial advice and training. You will also be producing all contract letters for Trust employees and updating the Trust HR and payroll systems. You will be working closely with the Shared Services Finance team, headteachers and office managers and their teams.
